scholarship
In 2007 we made a commitment to using some of our profits to help other women and the RuthiPostowStaffing scholarship was established.
As women in business, our original thought was to help young women attain their own career goals in business. For the first two years we partnered with the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond and the scholarship went to students in their business school.
In 2009 we learned about a group of women who desperately needed help to escape lives of abuse. We partnered with Second Chance Employment Services and dedicated the scholarship to helping a woman prepare to gain the financial independence necessary to escape a life of domestic violence.
In 2010 we became aware of human trafficking that goes on right here is our country and in our community. We partnered with a wonderful organization, Courtney’s House that provides services and resources to children (boys and girls) who are survivors of domestic sex trafficking. The 2010 scholarship was awarded to a young woman who starts college in 2011.
